Precision agriculture technologies have emerged as a transformative force in modern farming practices, offering innovative solutions to enhance crop yields, minimize resource inputs, and promote sustainable agricultural practices. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the key components and applications of precision agriculture technologies aimed at optimizing crop yields. The review begins by delineating the fundamental principles of precision agriculture, emphasizing the integration of advanced technologies such as Global Positioning System (GPS), Geographic Information System (GIS), and remote sensing. These technologies enable farmers to gather real-time data on soil conditions, weather patterns, and crop health, fostering informed decision-making for efficient resource allocation. Furthermore, the paper explores the role of sensor technologies in precision agriculture, discussing their applications in monitoring and managing crucial variables like soil moisture, nutrient levels, and pest infestations. The integration of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and satellite imagery for high-resolution data acquisition is also examined, highlighting their contribution to precision farming practices.Downloads
