Proponents argue that simultaneous elections can lead to administrative efficiency, significant cost reduction, and minimization of the policy paralysis often induced by the Model Code of Conduct during staggered elections. Additionally, the model promises to foster political stability, increase voter participation, and reduce the burden on the election machinery and security forces. However, the implementation of this concept poses formidable constitutional, logistical, and political challenges.
Dr. Abhishek Sharma Copyright (c) 2025 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2025-04-04 2025-04-04 4 2 5 9 Impact of Intrinsic and Extrinsic Motivation on Job Satisfaction Among Assistant Professors of Private Colleges in Punjab https://edupublications.com/index.php/ejiar/article/view/155
This study examines the impact of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation on job satisfaction among Assistant Professors in private colleges across Punjab. With growing concerns over faculty retention and morale in the private higher education sector, understanding motivational dynamics has become increasingly important. The study adopted a quantitative approach, surveying 120 Assistant Professors selected through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using the Work Motivation Inventory and a standardized Job Satisfaction Questionnaire. The analysis revealed that both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation are significantly and positively correlated with job satisfaction (p < 0.01). However, intrinsic motivation—encompassing factors such as personal growth, autonomy, and intellectual engagement—was found to be the stronger predictor (β = 0.59), compared to extrinsic motivation (β = 0.27). These findings suggest that internal drivers play a more substantial role in shaping how satisfied faculty feel with their academic roles. The study concludes that enhancing intrinsic motivators is essential for improving job satisfaction and recommends that institutional policies focus on promoting autonomy, academic recognition, and meaningful work. These insights can guide human resource strategies and policy reforms aimed at improving faculty engagement and institutional effectiveness in the private higher education sector.
Dr. Deepali Singla Copyright (c) 2025 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2025-04-05 2025-04-05 4 2 10 14 Performance of High Rise Reinforced Concrete Structures With and Without Infill Walls https://edupublications.com/index.php/ejiar/article/view/161
The most of human occupation is acquired by residential and office buildings for our living and working purposes. To fulfill the demand of urbanization high rise buildings becomes necessary which are more vulnerable to the effects of earthquakes. Despite of having similar structural frame, size and shape residential and office buildings exhibit different infill wall positions. Use of brick infills in building construction is most common practice in India, this practice results in the function of the masonry brick infill wall as a bracing system to stiffen and enhance the strength of the structure. The eight storey model analysis results show that the infill walls increase the stiffness and strength of structure and the use of masonry infill walls located in between the columns of RC framed structures plays a major role in the damage and collapse of buildings during strong earthquakes. This thesis highlights the performance of models at different seismic zones and compares the behavior of bare and infilled reinforced concrete structures by non linear static pushover analysis .The analysis is done by using the guidelines given for infill in following codes (IS 1893:2016 (Part –I), ATC-40 and FEMA-356) on SAP2000 software. Infill wall modeled as equivalent diagonal strut in which the width of struts of each infill panel is evaluated. Simultaneously the non-linear hinge properties also evaluated and assigned to prepared models on SAP. It is observed that brick infill walls present in RC frame building reduce the structural drift but increase the strength and stiffness.
Varun Kumar Sikka, Neeraj Kumar Copyright (c) 2025 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2025-04-06 2025-04-06 4 2 15 25 Dynamic Stability of Delaminated Cross ply Composite Plates and Shells https://edupublications.com/index.php/ejiar/article/view/162
Fibre reinforced composite plates and shells are increasingly replacing traditional metallic ones. The manufacturing process and service of the composite laminates frequently lead to delamination. Delamination reduces the stiffness and strength of composite laminates because they allow out of plane displacement of plies to occur more easily. Dynamic stability analysis is an integral part of most engineering structures. The present work deals with the study of the effects of free vibration, buckling and dynamic stability of delaminated cross ply composite plates and shells. A first order shear deformation theory based on finite element model is developed for studying the instability region of mid plane delaminated composite plate and shell. The basic understanding of the influence of the delamination on the natural frequencies, non- dimensional buckling load and non-dimensional excitation frequency of composite plates and shells is presented. In addition, other factors affecting the vibration, buckling and dynamic instability region of delaminated composite plates and shells are discussed. The numerical results for the free vibration, buckling and dynamic stability of laminated cross-ply plates and shells with delamination are presented. As expected, the natural frequencies and the critical buckling load of the plates and shells decrease with increase in delamination. Increase in delamination also causes dynamic instability regions to be shifted to lower excitation frequencies.
Rambha Thakur, Dinesh Copyright (c) 2025 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2025-04-07 2025-04-07 4 2 26 41 Behaviour of Laminated Composite Twisted Plates Subjected to In-Plane Loading https://edupublications.com/index.php/ejiar/article/view/164
The twisted panel has various applications in turbine blades, compressor blades, fan blades and particularly in gas turbines. Many of these plates are subjected to in-plane load due to fluid or aerodynamic pressures. Hence it is necessary to study their behaviour under different types of loads. In these days, composite materials are increasingly used as load bearing structural components in aerospace and naval structures, automobiles, pressure vessels, turbine blades and many other engineering applications because of their high specific strength and stiffness. The analysis is carried out using ANSYS software. An eight-node iso parametric quadratic element is considered in the present analysis with five degrees of freedom per node. In ANSYS, the shell 281 element with five degrees of freedom per node is used. An eight by eight mesh is found to give good accuracy. The vibration and stability behaviour of composite laminated twisted plate under various types of non-uniform in-plane loading is studied. The effect of number of layers, changing angle of twist, width to thickness ratio, aspect ratio, etc on the vibration and buckling loads are presented. It is observed that for increasing angles of twist of laminated composite plate with different in-plane load conditions, the vibration and buckling both decreases. Also as the number of layers increases, the vibration and buckling parameters of the laminated twisted plate are both observed to increases.
Varun Kumar Sikka, Puneet Bhardwaj Copyright (c) 2025 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2025-04-08 2025-04-08 4 2 42 54 Internet of Thinghs with Smart Agriculture https://edupublications.com/index.php/ejiar/article/view/165
The Internet of Things (IoT) is revolutionizing various industries, and one of the most promising applications is in agriculture. The 73rd Constitutional Amendment
Act and other constitutional protections have not eliminated the persistent patriarchal norms, lack of education, and
political underrepresentation that women in Jammu endure. This study uses a mixed-methods strategy, combining
qualitative and quantitative techniques based on primary and secondary data. Results from a survey of 300 people
show that women's political empowerment is associated with higher levels of economic participation, social
influence, and academic achievement. The statistically significant results of the analysis of variance and correlation
confirm the critical importance of women's political participation in improving their status in various domains. The
study emphasizes the importance of Panchayati Raj Institutions as change agents and stresses the need for
education, institutional support, and effective communication to help women become politically active. The results
highlight the critical importance of immediate legislative changes, focused training, and mentoring initiatives to
assist women seeking leadership roles. Achieving political empowerment is not a standalone objective, but rather a
cornerstone of inclusive governance and greater gender equality. This research adds to the increasing amount of
literature that calls for coordinated policy responses and long-term grassroots organizing to increase women's
political engagement.
Nanda Manhas, Dr. Ramsiya Charmkar Copyright (c) 2025 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2025-04-10 2025-04-10 4 2 64 71 Christian Missionary Impact and the Evolution of the Church of Christ in Tamil Nadu: 1963 Onward https://edupublications.com/index.php/ejiar/article/view/168
This paper examines the historical development and socio-religious impact of the Church of Christ in Tamil Nadu from 1963 to the present day.
